Amend CIP Project R344 to Widen Greenwich Road from Harry to Pawnee. District 5.

Recommended Action: Approve the CIP Amendment.
The City of Wichita and Sedgwick County are partnering on a federally funded road widening project on Greenwich Road from Harry to Pawnee. The area is urbanizing and recent development of the new Southeast High School has increased traffic in the area. The north half mile is in the City of Wichita and the south half mile is in unincorporated Sedgwick County.
The project budget needs to be adjusted to account for an updated construction estimate and to include the cost to acquire right of way and relocate utilities in private easements in the County portion of the project.
Alternatives: Take such action as the Board deems appropriate.
Financial Considerations: Public Works recommends transfer of $125,000.00 in project cost savings from cost center 21500-231 B467 to the cost center for CIP Project R344.
Legal Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners is authorized to amend the Capital Improvement Program under K.S.A. 19-120.
