Recommended Action: Approve the contract and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Design of this project is included in the approved 2019 Capital Improvement Program. TranSystems Corporation has been selected to perform the design work at the cost of $53,000.

Financial Considerations: The proposed project budget increase of $3,000 by CIP Amendment is included on today’s BOCC agenda.

Legal Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is authorized to make all contracts in relation to the property and concerns of the County under K.S.A. 19-101 fourth; and to perform such duties as required by law concerning roads under K.S.A. 19-212 Ninth. This contract is similar in terms and conditions to prior contracts approved by the BOCC for this purpose.
Policy Considerations: The Purchasing Director has waived competitive bidding requirements as allowed for professional services under Section IV.G of Charter Resolution No. 68.
