Recommended Action: Approve the establishment of budget authority in the Phillips 66 RACES Grant for the remaining balance of the grant ($5,423.33).
During 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Grant Award for $20,000 from Phillips 66 to the RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service) volunteer team under Emergency Management (Legistar 18-436). The project grant was to replace the county wide repeater system which was over 20 years old. Since approval in May 2018, the grant funds from Phillips 66 have not been completely expended and the budget authority to spend the remaining funds in 2019 is requested.
