Recommended Action: Approve the contract and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Design of this project is included in the approved 2019 Capital Improvement Program. Cook, Flatt & Strobel Engineers, P.A. has been selected to perform the design work at the cost of $84,000.

Sufficient sales tax funds exist in the project cost center to support this contract.
Legal Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is authorized to make all contracts in relation to the property and concerns of the County under K.S.A. 19-101 fourth; and to perform such duties as required by law concerning roads under K.S.A. 19-212 Ninth. This contract is similar in terms and conditions to prior contracts approved by the BOCC for this purpose.
Policy Considerations: The Purchasing Director has waived competitive bidding requirements as allowed for professional services under Section IV.G of Charter Resolution No. 68.
