Grant Summary and Timeline:
KDHE provides Aid to Local (ATL) Grant funding opportunities to support specific or targeted health service needs on an annual basis. This ATL Grant funding represents 15.57 percent of the Health Division budget and 27.5 percent of all grants received.

The Health Division was awarded $1,771,714 for the previous State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2019. For SFY 2020, the Health Division is requesting ATL funding in the amount of $1,924,742, with a required match of $385,718 for a total of $2,310,460; which is an increase of $153,028 or 8.64 percent above the SFY 2019 award received. Without this funding, many programs would be drastically reduced or services would no longer be provided. (See Attachment 1 for an overview of funding by category requested for SFY 2020, as well as a list of the amount of funding requested and awards received for SFY 2019.)

Two grant categories, Family Planning and Maternal and Child Health, both require a 40.0 percent match funding requirement. (See Attachment 2 for Match Funding Information Detail.)
