The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) has historically provided 1/3 of the costs of materials and operating expenses of the Exploited and Missing Child Unit (EMCU). This amendment renews and amends the original 2010 Contract for Operation and Finance. It provides funding for the year 2019 by DCF and incorporates the 2019 EMCU Memorandum of Understanding (revised 2/11/2019), the 2019 EMCU Budget and the state’s Contractual Attachment DA 146a (Rev.6-12). According to the amendment, DCF will provide funding of $47,163 for 2019.
Alternatives: Do not sign the amendment and absorb the costs in the County General Fund
Financial Considerations: Revenues of $47,163 will be deposited into cost center 17014-110. Sufficient budget authority exists in the 2019 budget for this amendment.
Legal Considerations: K.S.A. 19-101 and K.S.A. 19-212 provide authority for this action. Simple majority vote is required. The terms and conditions of this contract are substantially similar to prior agreements. This contract amendment has been reviewed and approved by the County Counselor's Office.
