Recommended Action: Approve the intergovernmental agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Both the City of Wichita and Sedgwick County generate, maintain, and dispose of Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department (MABCD) records, and the City and County seek clarity as to the roles and responsibilities for such records.
The intergovernmental services agreement details the responsibilities of both the City of Wichita and Sedgwick County for records possessed by both entities prior to the merger of the two departments as well as the maintenance, storage, and retention of MABCD records as a joint entity.
Alternatives: To not approve the intergovernmental services agreement.
