Developmental Disability Affiliation Agreement with Restoration Family Services.

Body
Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the chairman to sign.

The Sedgwick County Developmental Disability Organization (SCDDO) contracts with the Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) to serve as the Community Developmental Disability Organization (CDDO) for Sedgwick County. One responsibility of a CDDO is to manage a network of qualified service providers for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD). As required by regulation (KAR 30-64-22), each provider wishing to provide IDD services must affiliate with the CDDO for that area.

The agency has met all the conditions required by SCDDO policy to become an affiliated IDD provider in Sedgwick County and the IDD Advisory Board has reviewed and approved the submitted business plan.

Financial Considerations: Payment for services provided under this agreement are paid directly to the provider through Medicaid, although Sedgwick County does cover a few services through its State Aid program. All payment is made on a reimbursement basis and not paid to providers until the service has been provided and authorization confirmed. No additional budget authority is required for this agreement.
