Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
The agreement is a renewal of an existing affiliation agreement between Hutchinson Community College (HCC) and Sedgwick County Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The agreement provides HCC EMS students with an educational experience at Sedgwick County EMS. The renewal updates attendant terminology to include EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic students. The agreement will also enable Sedgwick County EMS staff to furnish instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students during their practicum in conformance with the programs' educational goals. The agreement is mutually beneficial as Sedgwick County EMS actively recruits students from the education program for employment.
