Five 2019 Aging mill levy contracts for physical disability program services.

Recommended Action: Approve the contracts and authorize the Chairman to sign.

 

The County has had agreements with most of these contractors for over 15 years. These contractors provide services that promote accessibility, health, and safety for persons with physical disabilities in order to remain independent in the community.  Funding recommendations were approved by the Sedgwick County Advisory Council on Aging and Physical Disabilities at the September 12, 2018 meeting.

 

Alternatives: Not approve the contracts.

 

Financial Considerations:

Term: Contract term is for one (1) year:  January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2020

Fund Center: Physical Disability Administration 35001-110.

 

Budget Authority Adjustment: Sufficient budget authority is included in the 2019 budget approved August 15, 2018.  No additional budget authority is being requested.

 

Legal Considerations: The County has the authority to enter into these agreements under its home rule powers within K.S.A. 19-101 et seq. Approval for the recommended action is by simple majority vote.
