This is second and final public budget hearing to be held regarding the 2019 Fire District 1 budget. The first public hearing was held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Budget adoption is scheduled for August 15, 2018.

Financial Considerations: As presented on July 18, the 2019 recommended budget totaled $20,487,728, which includes a property tax levy of $17,220,037. The property tax levy is approximately equivalent to a property tax rate, expressed in mills, of 18.371 mills, based on the estimated assessed valuation and subject to review and technical adjustments.
Legal Considerations: At least one public hearing is required by K.S.A. 79-2929.
