Amend the 2018 CIP to add a Project for Gravel Road Replacement for 2 Miles in District 4.

Recommended Action: Approve the CIP Amendment.

The project will convert two miles of gravel township roads to County paved roads. The roads to be paved are:

1.                     Hoover Road from 69^th St. N. to 77^th St. N.

2.                     Tyler Road from 77^th St. N. to 85^th St. N.

Alternatives:  Take action that the Board deems appropriate.

Financial Considerations:  Public Works recommends the transfer of $450,000 from Cost Center 21500-231 to a new cost center to be used for modification of the current contract for R342 (2018) or to let a new contract based on similar plans and specifications.

Legal Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners is authorized to amend the

Capital Improvement Program under K.S.A. 19-120.

Policy Considerations: The CIP Amendment has been processed in accordance with the CIP Policy.
