Background: Sedgwick County offered a free electronic waste collection event on April 5^th - 7th and April 12^th - 14th, 2018. Citizens and businesses not involved with recycling electronics were able to bring computers, TV’s and their components to this event. The event was held from 9am - 2pm on each day at the Sedgwick County West Public Works Yard, located at 4701 S. West Street. The event was well-received by citizens, resulting in 3,874 vehicles and 536,553 pounds of electronic waste collected for recycling. Sedgwick County contracted with Dynamic Recycling, Inc. of Wisconsin to process the electronics. Dynamic Recycling is a zero-landfill company.  All hard drives have been destroyed and all components have been recycled responsibly.
