Grant Summary and Timeline: The Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP) supports cross-system collaboration to improve responses and outcomes for individuals with mental illnesses (MI) or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse (CMISA) who come into contact with the justice system. This contact can occur because a crime was committed, or because law enforcement officers were first responders to a call for service involving a person with mental illness but in which no crime was committed.
