Agreement with the City of Wichita for COMCARE to provide administrative services for the Special Liquor Tax Funds.

Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Background: Since 2000, the City of Wichita has contracted with COMCARE to provide administrative services for their Special Liquor Tax funds and COMCARE has been selected as the vendor again in 2018. The services include monitoring and refining outcome-based measurements, providing financial oversight, organizing provider training, supporting the Special Liquor Tax Coalition, and assisting in the development of Request for Proposals (RFP). COMCARE Administrative staff partner with COMCARE's Addiction Treatment Services staff to provide their expertise for the City and the 16 programs selected to receive a Special Liquor Tax grant.
Alternatives: Should this contract not be approved, COMCARE will lose $121,787.00 in annual funding, and the City of Wichita will be forced to locate an alternate vendor to provide these services.

Funding: $121,787.00
Funding Source: 31061-252 & 31014-252
Term: 04/01/18-03/31/19, with the option to renew the contract under the same terms and conditions for four (4) successive one (1) year terms.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101 and a simple majority vote is required.
Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed in the development of this agreement.
