Recommended Action: Set the public hearing and approve publication of a Notice of hearing in the official County newspaper.
Background:
Pursuant to K.S.A. 19-3604(b) the following landowners have petitioned for the exclusion of lands from the boundaries of the fire district:
Rau, Paul J., III and Dani - 6011 N. 167th St. W, Colwich, KS 67030.
Legally described as S 250 FT E 697 FT N1/2 NE1/4 EXC E 30 FT FOR RD SEC 16-26-2W.
The petition has been duly signed by owners of at least ten percent of the area of the land seeking to alter the boundaries of the Fire District No. 1 and was filed in the office of the County Clerk on May 27, 2018. A public hearing is necessary to determine the advisability of decreasing the boundaries of the fire district to exclude the lands subject to the petition.
