First Amendment to the Charitable Donation Agreement with Pauline M. Weber Trust.

Recommended Action: Approve the amendment to the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Sedgwick County Fire District Number One (“Fire District”) reached an agreement with The Pauline M. Weber Trust on May 18, 2017, where for the purpose of donating a residence to the Fire District, where Owner donated a residence to the Fire District for purposes of training and, ultimately, a live fire training event, which would result in the burning down of the residence. The agreement initially contemplated that the live fire training event would conclude by June 1, 2018.
The amendment proposes to extend the time during which the live fire training event may be completed by 11:59 pm on November 1, 2018. The Owner has agreed to the proposed amendment.
The residence will be used for training and, ultimately, a live-fire training event, which would result in the burning down of the residence. Both parties agree that the final live fire training event will be concluded by 11:59 pm, November 1, 2018.
