Background: COMCARE of Sedgwick County received a donation from Maggie Ballard. Maggie is the founder of Paxton's Blessing Box. The donation includes: hygiene items, individually packaged foods, and over 500 pairs of socks. These items will be distributed to Crisis clients in need.
The donation will support the ongoing efforts of COMCARE to help people with mental health and substance use concerns improve the quality of their lives.
Financial Considerations: Estimated Donation value is $1,500.
Funding Source: N/A
Budget Authority Adjustment: No additional budget authority is being requested. Sufficient budget authority is included in the 2018 Adopted budget.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101.
