Resolution adopting a revised and combined policy on Risk Management and Claim Settlement; and rescinding prior resolutions pertaining to such subjects.

Recommended Action: Approve the Resolution which repeals the risk management and settlement of claims policies and adopts the County Insurance Program & Settlement of Claims Policy.
Attached is the Resolution with the proposed policy (Exhibit A) which reflects changes made in the reorganization. References to the Risk Manager have been updated to reflect the new organizational structure. Settlement authority for claims has been moved to the County Counselor's Office.
In accordance with the reorganization plan for the Division of Finance, this policy will be replaced by the attached policy and resolution known as the County Insurance Program & Settlement of Claims Policy.
