Title
Amendment Number Two to Agreement for Provision of Prescription Medication by and between Sedgwick County, Kansas Division of Corrections and Dandurand Pharmacy, Inc.
Body
Approve the Amendment and Authorize The Chair to sign.
The initial contract was initiated in May 2016. An RFP for Pharmacy Services occurred with the chosen provider declining to proceed with the contract for services. Dandurand provided interim services with amendment number one. Division of Corrections continues to look for opportunities for comprehensive medical services with pharmacy being one part of that and amendment number two will allow sufficient time for this process.
Alternatives: Juvenile Services will be without a contracted pharmacy vendor for services.
Financial Considerations: Cost of pharmacy medication/medical supplies for the Juvenile Detention Facility and the Juvenile Residential Facilities. Sufficient budget authority exists in the 2018 budget for these services, no additional budget authority is being requested at this time.
Legal Considerations: This Action is Authorized by K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. A simple majority is required.
Policy Considerations: None.
