Recommended Action: Pursuant to K.S.A. 79-2011, this is a certification that all claims against Sedgwick County have been checked against delinquent real and personal property taxes and the delinquent accounts have been paid.
Alternatives: N/A
Financial Considerations: The funds indicated in the attached certification have been offset, as required by K.S.A. 79-2011.
Legal Considerations: Upon receipt of the certification of claims that is provided under K.S.A. 79-2010, K.S.A. 79-2011 requires the County Treasurer to certify to the Board of County Commissioners a list of all claimants whose claims are allowed, setting forth the name of the claimant and the amount of the tax together with any penalties or interest due, and setting forth the year or years for which the tax was levied. Approval is by simple majority vote.
