Five vendor agreements to provide specialized transportation to transit dependent individuals to access medical appointments and social services.

Recommended Action: Approve the agreements and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Door-to-door accessible transportation is provided to transit dependent individuals for access to medical appointments, social services, work, and other locations which enable them to remain independent and in the community. These are renewals with the first agreements initiated by the County in 1998.
2018 agreements are with:
1. ABC Taxi
2. American Cab
3. Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation's Timber Lines
4. Rita's Rides
5. Wisdom Travels
Alternatives: Not approve the agreements.
Financial Considerations: Federal, State and Mill Levy dollars support this specialized transportation.
Terms: This agreement is for the period beginning January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.

Budget Authority Adjustment: Sufficient budget authority was included in the 2018 adopted budget, no additional budget authority is being requested.
Legal Considerations: The County has the ability to enter into these agreements under its home rule powers, per K.S.A. 19-101 et seq. A simple majority vote is required.
Policy Considerations: There are no policy implications.
