Title

Position reorganization for the Division of Health and COMCARE.

Body

Recommended Action: Approve the recommendation to reorganize position.

Background: Currently, position 20002257 is fully funded by fund center 38001-274 (Internal Order 380016-18). Duties for this position changed with the consolidation of the Division of Health and Human Services. This employee spends a significant amount of time working on projects that expand throughout the Division. This proposal would shift seventy-five percent (75%) of the salary to COMCARE Administration II, fund center 31061-252 (Internal Order 310616-18). Based on an analysis of  duties, twenty-five percent (25%) of position 20002257 would remain funded out of fund center 38001-274 (Internal Order 380016-18) and seventy-five percent (75%) funding from fund center 31061-252 (Internal Order 310616-18).

Alternatives: Do not approve the request and leave the funding for position 20002257 as is.

Financial Considerations: No additional funds are being requested. The funding for the 0.75 FTE shifted to COMCARE will come from the COMCARE Admiministration II fund center in the COMCARE Grant Fund. Sufficient budget authority exists in the 2017 and 2018 budgets in this fund center for the 0.75 FTE of the position and no additional budget authority is needed for this shift.

Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101 and a simple majority vote is required.

Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed in the development of this proposed staffing change.
