Recommended Action: Adopt the Resolution.
Sedgwick County owns real property at 701 W. Harry St. and is subject to certain zoning-based restrictions on how it may be used. Sedgwick County may see fit to seek to change the permissible uses for this owned property. This resolution would allow staff to act on behalf of the County in applying for zone changes and similar action with the Wichita-Sedgwick County Unified Zoning Code as well as other municipal zoning codes. This resolution will allow the County Manager and County Manager's designee the delegated authority for the property located at 701 W. Harry to apply for zone changes, conditional uses, and any and all other planning, zoning, and board of zoning appeal actions for which an owner of real property may apply.
Alternatives: Not adopt the resolution.
Financial Considerations: Cost for the 701 W. Harry zone change request is $741.
Legal Considerations: This action is permitted by K.S.A. 19-101. Approval is by simple majority vote.
