Participating provider agreement with Managed Health Network, Inc.

Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Background: Managed Health Network, Inc. (MHN) provides behavioral health plans and employee assistance programs to individuals and organizations throughout the United States. These services are provided through a network of licensed practitioners, hospitals, and care facilities.
MHN has selected COMCARE to be a part of this network of providers. The participating provider agreement outlines the services COMCARE will be responsible for providing, medical necessity, and billing for services.
Alternatives: If this contract is not approved, COMCARE will not be able to bill for services provided to individuals covered by MHN and it would be a loss of a revenue opportunity.
Financial Considerations: COMCARE will bill for services provided to individuals according to medical necessity.
Budget Authority Adjustment: No additional budget authority is being requested. Sufficient budget authority is included in the 2017 and 2018 adopted budgets.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101 and a simple majority vote is required.
Policy Considerations: All Sedgwick County policies have been followed in the development of this proposed staffing change.
