Recommended Action: Set the public hearing and direct the County Clerk to publish the notice of hearing.
A public hearing is required to be held on the proposed incorporation and adoption of a code pursuant to K.S.A. 12-3303. This agenda item proposes to set a public hearing for the adoption of the NFPA 70: National Electrical Code, 2017 Edition, with amendments noted within a draft resolution.
Alternatives: Elect to not set the public hearing or set it for a different date.

Legal Considerations: Pursuant to K.S.A. 12-3303, a public hearing is required to be held for the adoption of this code and a notice of that public hearing is required to be published prior to it being held. Approval is by simple majority vote.
