Agreement between Division of Corrections and Kansas State Department of Education for reimbursement of meals under the requirements of the National School Programs and Child Nutrition and Wellness

Recommended Action: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chair to sign.
Division of Corrections has had annual agreements with KSDE for meal reimbursement. Division of Corrections is required to follow KSDE guidelines for meals to receive the reimbursement.
Alternatives: Reject the agreement resulting in no reimbursement for meals.
Financial Considerations: Reimbursement for 2016 totaled $149,967.48. Reimbursement for 2017 at 40% totaled $63,383.53.
Legal Considerations: This action is authorized by K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
