This is the second and final public hearing to be held regarding the 2018 Sedgwick County budget. The first public budget hearing was held on Wednesday, July 19. Budget adoption is scheduled for August 2.

Financial Considerations: As presented on July 12, the 2018 recommended budget totals $407,276,187, which includes a property tax levy of $137,441,377. The property tax levy is approximately equivalent to a property tax rate, expressed in mills, of 29.359 mills, based on the estimated assessed valuation and subject to review and technical adjustments.
Legal Considerations: At least one public hearing is required by K.S.A. 79-2929.
