This is second and final public budget hearing to be held regarding the 2018 Fire District 1 budget. The first public hearing was held on Wednesday, July 19. Budget adoption is scheduled for August 2.

Financial Considerations: As presented on July 12, the 2018 recommended budget totaled $17,957,696, which includes a property tax levy of $16,458,571. The property tax levy is approximately equivalent to a property tax rate, expressed in mills, of 18.414 mills, based on the estimated assessed valuation and subject to review and technical adjustments.
Legal Considerations: At least one public hearing is required by K.S.A. 79-2929.
