Recommended Action: Authorize the Chairman to sign the Affidavit of Error.
On May 3, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved an Easement for Right-of-Way agreement with Douglas and Mary-Beth Winter. The amount paid under the agreement was stated as $7,060.00. However, this amount was stated in error due to a mathematical error, and should have been $8,060.00.
If approved, the Affidavit of Error would authorize County staff to pay the full $8,060.00 to the Winters. Also, it would be recorded with the Register of Deeds.
Alternatives: N/A
Financial Considerations: No additional budget authority is being requested, sufficient budget authority exists for the full amount of the easement.
Legal Considerations: Approval is by simple majority vote.
