Recommended Action: Approve this request for modifying vacation accrual rate.
Request to provide an additional six vacation days annually for Thomas Stolz when he assumes the Deputy County Manager position. This will move his vacation accrual to the 16 - 20 year tier (168 hours annually) and is commensurate with leave provided to other executives. If approved, this would be effective on June 1, 2017, when he became Deputy County Manager.
Alternatives: Do not approve this change.
Financial Considerations: None.
Legal Considerations: This action is authorized by K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority vote is required.
