Source of other funding: $575,000 in 33027-110 (CY18 request), $250,000 in 33023-110 (CY18 request) and $515,000 in client revenue. The Division of Corrections will also apply for local and federal Justice Assistance Grants (JAG), as done in the past. Once the final award is received from KDOC, adjustments will be made to the proposed budget
Budget Authority Adjustment: Requests for additional authority for 2017 include $219,494 in 33014-253 and $15,000 in 33015-253. Details are included in the attached budget forms.

Expected measurable outcomes: To improve the rate of successful program completions in SFY18 by at least 3% from the previous year. To increase utilization of specialized interventions in an effort to improve offender success on probation. To fully implement the ISL I Residential Pilot Program. To create a Cognitive Skills Partnership Program to provide ongoing education and after-care to clients who have successfully completed the Getting It Right curriculum.
Requirements from Sedgwick County: Quarterly program and fiscal reports.
Alternatives: If we do not submit a plan for approval, we will not continue to receive these KDOC funds. We are obligated under state law K.S.A. 75-5291 to provide community corrections supervision to offenders assigned by the District Court.

Legal considerations: The authority for this section is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority vote is required for approval.
