Recommended Action: Set the public hearing and approve publication of a Notice of Hearing in the official County newspaper.
Background:
Pursuant to K.S.A. 19-3604(b) the following landowners have petitioned for the inclusion of lands within the boundaries of the Fire District No. 1:
INCLUSION
Dreiling, David W. & Amelia S. - 7215 N. 142nd Street W., Colwich, KS 67030.
Legally described as LOT 8 BLOCK 2 IMBLER ESTATES ADD.
The petition has been duly signed by owners of at least ten percent of the area of the land seeking to alter the boundaries of the Fire District No. 1 and have been filed in the Office of the County Clerk. A public hearing is necessary to determine the advisability of increasing the boundaries of the Fire District No. 1 to include the lands subject to the petition.
