Amendment to the Charitable Donation Agreement with Alliston Resources Limited Partnership.

Recommended action: Approve the amendment to the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Background: Sedgwick County Fire District Number One (“Fire District”) reached an agreement with Alliston Resources Limited Partnership (“Alliston”) on April 13, 2016, where Alliston donated a residence to the Fire District for purposes of training and, ultimately, a live fire training event, which would result in the burning down of the residence. The agreement initially contemplated that the live fire training event would conclude by March 31, 2017.
The amendment proposes to extend the time during which the live fire training event may be completed to June 30, 2017. Alliston has agreed to the proposed amendment.

Legal Considerations: The original agreement may be amended with the written consent of Alliston and the Fire District. Approval is by simple majority vote.
