RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint Sheriff Jeffrey Easter and County Treasurer Linda Kizzire to serve on the review board as the Governing Body's appointees.
Background: Pursuant to the Contract by and between Sedgwick County Fire District No. 1 and IAFF Local 2612, employees injured while performing certain assigned duties are eligible for injury leave not to exceed 360 working hours. Employees may seek an extension of that time for a period of up to one (1) year. Approval of such extension requests must be granted by a review board whose members include the Fire Chief, President of the Union, Director of Human Resources and two (2) individuals appointed by the Governing Body.
