RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt the proclamation.
Representatives from Health ICT and the Dr. Doren Fredrickson Lifetime Commitment to Public Health Award recipient Shirley Orr are unable to attend the Commission meeting to receive this proclamation. However, they plan on having this proclamation read at a reception honoring Ms. Orr on Friday, April 7th.
Dr. Fredrickson served as a the Sedgwick County Health Department Health Officer from 2002 to 2008.
National Public Health Week is April 3 - 9, 2017. This year’s theme "Healthiest Nation 2030" encourages public health professionals, health care providers, decision makers and residents to partner together to spur the community to make small changes that will have big impacts in their health.
