SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE, 2015 EDITION, THE INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE, 2015 EDITION, AND THE INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE, 2015 EDITION.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Set the public hearing date and publish the notice of hearing once in the official County newspaper.

A public hearing is required to adopt a new mechanical code within the Unified Building and Trade Code (“UBTC”) to replace the existing mechanical code. In this case, the 2015 International Mechanical Code (“IMC”), published by the International Code Council (“ICC”), is proposed to be adopted, with various amendments, additions, and omissions that are included within the resolution. Also, along with the 2015 IMC, the 2015 International Fuel Gas Code (“IFGC”), also published by the ICC, is proposed to be adopted, to the extent the IFGC is incorporated by the 2015 IMC. Furthermore, the provisions of the 2015 International Residential Code that pertain to mechanical matters in residences is also proposed to be adopted, with amendments, additions, and omissions. The hearing is proposed to occur during the Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 12, 2017.
