CIP Amendment for Project B-473: Delete Construction of a Bridge on Broadway between 117th St. North and 125th St. North from the CIP. District 4.

Recommended Action: Approve the CIP Amendment.
An imbalance between budget authority and actual balances in the Sales Tax Fund (231) requires that projects be re-prioritized and rescheduled. A total of four bridge project that were approved for construction in 2016 or 2017 are recommended for deferral to later years. Approval of this CIP Amendment will remove B-4723 from the approved CIP where it was approved for $1,700,000 in 2017. The project will be programmed to a later year during preparation of the 2018-2022 CIP.
Alternatives: Designate a different funding source for the project.
Financial Considerations: Deletion of the project from the CIP will remove $1,700,000.00 in budget authority from the total 2017-2021 CIP.
Legal Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners is authorized to amend the Capital Improvement Program under K.S.A. 19-120.
Policy Considerations: The CIP Amendment has been reviewed and recommended for approval by the CIP Committee and the County Manager in accordance with the Capital Improvement Program Policy.
