Recommended Action: Approve the Amendment and Authorize the Chairman to Sign.

This amendment serves to remove Supportive Home Care from the list of authorized services In Sync Home Health, Inc. will provide effective January 1, 2017. The change is being made at the request of the agency. They will continue to serve the few clients they currently have that receive this service but will not admit new ones. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement are retained and shall remain in full force and effect and shall govern the actions and obligations of the parties unless specifically accepted or otherwise noted in the amendment.

The original agreement serves to subcontract the provision of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) services in Sedgwick County to organizations and individuals that have met Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and Community Developmental Disability Organization (CDDO) standards. As the CDDO contracting with KDADS for Sedgwick County, these agreements assure that services are provided for eligible individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

These agreements provide both the ability to bill the Medicaid system directly and to receive payment from Sedgwick County for services that are provided to eligible individuals through August 31, 2017.

Alternatives: The SCDDO is required to contract with qualified service providers that have been selected by an individual who is eligible to receive intellectual and developmental disability services. All providers have been selected as the preferred provider for at least one individual.

Financial Considerations: All affiliated providers may receive payments directly from Sedgwick County and/or bill Medicaid directly for services provided. Because the I/DD service system works on a reimbursement basis, funding will not be paid to provid...
