The gateway building to the NCAT facility has suffered water damage due to issues with original construction and workmanship effecting the roof and exterior panels, causing water intrusion. Sedgwick County filed a lawsuit against the roofer and the panel installer. The proposed agreement settles all outstanding issues.
Alternatives: Do not approve
Financial Considerations: The settlement will pay Sedgwick County $195,000.
Legal Considerations: The settlement will include the $195,000 payment in addition to a release of all claims and a dismissal of the suit.
