Recommended Action: Follow the recommendation of the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission, approve the Vacation Order and authorize the necessary signatures.
The applicants propose to vacate a portion of the 310.57 feet of platted complete access control located on the north property line of Lot 3, Block A, Walker Estates Addition, to allow a drive onto 29th Street North. 29th Street North is a paved two-lane, two-way, County section line road at this intersection with 90 feet of right-of-way. There are no utilities located within the area of the vacation. The Walker Estates Addition was recorded with the Register of Deeds March 18, 2004.

Legal Considerations: Approved as to form and signed by County Counselor’s Office
The Board of County Commissioners is authorized by K.S.A. 58-2613, et seq. to grant petitions for vacation of platted streets, alleys, public easements and public reservations. The Vacation Order is approved as to form and signed by County Counselor’s Office. The original Vacation Order will be recorded with the Register of Deeds.
