ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF $2,000 TO SEDGWICK COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE (EMS) FROM AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS, INC.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Accept the donation of $2,000.00, acknowledge Air Products for their generosity and community support, and authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of appreciation.

Air Products and Chemicals Incorporated has a long-standing commitment with community partners to assist with worthy initiatives, programs and projects. Air Products, located at 6601 S. 71st St. W., has committed a donation of $2,000.00 to Sedgwick County EMS. The donation will be used to support several employee and patient safety initiatives and programs.

Financial Considerations: The total amount of the donation, $2,000.00, will be deposited into cost center 12003-258. If approved, budget authority will be established, and any balance remaining at the end of 2016 will be established in 2017 and in subsequent years if applicable.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 19-101. A simple majority is required.
