A Resolution Amending Section 8.810 of the Sedgwick County Department of Corrections Policies and Procedures Manual.

Recommended Action: Approve the Resolution.
The Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) amended Juvenile Intake and Assessment Standard 04-107 in January 2015. Current Sedgwick County Department of Corrections Policy 8.810 is not consistent with this standard. The Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board (JCAB) has already approved the change as is required under Juvenile Intake Assessment Standard (JIAS) 04-107. The Board of County Commissioners is also required to approve the change prior to submission to the Secretary of the KDOC.
Alternatives: Do not approve the Resolution.

Legal Considerations: This change is recommended to remain in compliance JIAS standards.
