ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION FROM AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Accept the donation of $5,000.00 and authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of appreciation.

Air Products and Chemicals has donated $5,000.00 to the Research and Development fund to help underwrite expenses associated with Sedgwick County Fire District #1, Fire Station 34.
Financial Considerations: The total amount of the donation, $5,000.00, will be deposited in to cost center 14001-242. If approved, budget authority should be authorized, and any budget authority remaining at the end of 2016 should be authorized for establishment in 2017.
Policy Considerations: The Board of County Commissioners as the governing body of Sedgwick County Fire District 1 has the authority to accept donations on behalf of the Fire District.
