Recommended Action: Approve the agreements and authorize the Chairman to sign.

These are standard agreements that serve affiliate providers of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) services in Sedgwick County with the Sedgwick County Developmental Disability Organization (SCDDO). Affiliated organizations are licensed or contracted through the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and have met SCDDO standards. The SCDDO contracts with KDADS to function as the official Community Developmental Disability Organization (CDDO) for Sedgwick County and is responsible to ensure quality services are available for eligible individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Fountainview Home Health Services is a home health agency that provides enhanced care services at The Timbers apartments. A current resident of this apartment complex is served by this agency.

Helpers, Inc. is a financial management services company that provides self-directed overnight respite, personal care and enhanced care services. The company currently provides these services to hundreds of individuals throughout the State of Kansas and was requested to begin services in Sedgwick County by a guardian.

Alternatives: The SCDDO is required to contract with qualified service providers that have been selected by an individual who is eligible to receive intellectual and developmental disability services.

Financial Considerations: These providers may receive payments directly from Sedgwick County and/or bill Medicaid directly for services provided. Since the ID/DD service system works on a reimbursement basis, funding will not be paid to providers until after the service has been provided and verified.

Budget Authority Adjustment: No additional budget authority is being requested. Sufficient budget authority is included in the 2016 adopted budget. ...
