Termination of the Agreement Between Sedgwick County and Shred-It USA LLC.

Recommended Action: Approve the recommendation to terminate the agreement between Sedgwick County and Shred-It USA LLC.
This action terminates the October 22, 2013, agreement between Sedgwick County, Kansas, and Cintas Corporation No. 2 (amended on September 24, 2014, to include Shred-It USA LLC. as a successor in interest), pursuant to Paragraph 2 thereof. Said termination will be effective Friday, July 1, 2016.
Sedgwick County has established Monday, July 25, 2016, as the last and final date that it will accept any final invoices for payment. Invoices submitted after this date will not be processed for payment. We will be in contact shortly to make arrangements for the removal of Shred-It’s consoles and containers from Sedgwick County property. After termination of this agreement, Purchasing will be meeting with Shred-It on a new agreement and the transition to new service.
Analysis: This termination has been reviewed by the County Counselors Office and has been approved as to form.
Alternatives: Do not terminate the agreement.
