Recommended Action: Set public hearing and approve publication of the Notice of Hearing in the official County newspaper.
Background:
Pursuant to K.S.A. 19-3604(b) the following landowners have petitioned for the inclusion of lands within the boundaries of the fire district:
Carpenter, Kris E. and Rita A. - 17200 W. 29th Street N, Colwich, Kansas 67030
Carpenter, Kris E. and Rita A. - 17300 W. 29th Street N, Colwich, Kansas 67030
The petitions have been duly signed by owners of at least ten percent of the area of the land seeking to alter the boundaries of the Fire District No. 1 and have been filed in the Office of the County Clerk. A public hearing is necessary to determine the advisability of increasing the boundaries of the fire district to include the lands referred to in the petitions.
