Title
Amendment to Developmental Disability Service Agreement.
Body
Recommended Action: Approve the amendment and authorize the Chairman to sign.
Developmental Disability Service Agreements serve to subcontract the provision of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) services in Sedgwick County to organizations and individuals that have met Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and Community Developmental Disability Organization (CDDO) standards. As the CDDO contracting with KDADS for Sedgwick County, these agreements assure that services are provided for eligible individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
One provider of developmental disability services, Another Day, is amending their agreement to cease to provide supported home care services or request reimbursement from SCDDO, MCO, or the Medicaid intermediary for supportive home care services as of February 14, 2016.
Alternatives: The SCDDO is required to contract with qualified service providers and specify the services to be provided.
Financial Considerations: The annual affiliation agreements were approved on 10/7/15. No additional financial considerations are needed for this amendment.
Budget Authority Adjustment: No additional budget authority is being requested. Sufficient authority is included in the 2016 budget.
Legal Considerations: The authority for this action is K.S.A. 39-1805. A simple majority is required.
