FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH GREATER WICHITA PARTNERSHIP, INC.

Presented by: Eric Yost, County Counselor.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the agreement and authorize the Chairman to sign.

Body

On January 20, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) adopted a Resolution to authorize payment to the Greater Wichita Partnership (GWP) in the amount of $300,000. Based on discussion at that meeting, the BOCC asked that there also be a funding agreement between Sedgwick County and GWP. The agreement includes the ability for GWP to use an ombudsman and set up measurable outcomes (subject to review of the BOCC).

Alternatives: Not approve the agreement.

Financial Considerations: Per the agreement, Sedgwick County shall make four (4) quarterly payments to GWP in the amount of $75,000. Payments are contingent upon GWP meeting its measurable outcomes. The first quarterly payment shall be made upon the signing of the agreement.

Legal Considerations: The agreement has been drafted and approved as to form by the Counselor's office.

Policy Considerations:  Sedgwick County policies and procedures have been followed in the creation of this agreement.

Outside Attendees: Jeff Fluhr, GWP
