A public hearing is required to adopt a new building code within the Wichita-Sedgwick County Unified Building and Trade Code (UBTC) to replace the existing building code within the UBTC. In this case, the 2012 International Building Code (IBC), published by the International Code Council, with various amendments, additions, and omissions that are included within the UBTC and the resolution, is what is proposed to be adopted. The hearing is proposed to occur during the Board of County Commissioners meeting on February 17, 2016.
